Nepal has eight out of ten highest mountains in the world, including Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest, 8848m. Besides, somewhere here in the Kapilavastu district, there is a place called Lumbini, where Queen Mayadevi is said to have given birth to Siddhartha Gautama, better known as Buddha, around 500 BC. Nepal can be divided broadly into three ecological zones: the lowland, the midland and the highland. The altitude of the Himalayan region (the highlands) ranges from 4877 m - 8848 m; it includes 8 of the highest 14 peaks in the world that exceed heights of 8000 meters, including Mount Everest. The Lower Himalayan region accounts for about 64 percent of total land area, which is formed by the Mahabharat range that soars up to 4877 m and the lower Churia range (Sivalik Hills). The lowland Terai, the flat river plain of the Ganges with a belt of marshy grasslands, savannas, and forests, occupies about 17 percent of the country's total land area. Nepal is neighbouring to China (Tibet Autonomous Region (Xizang), India, Bhutan and Bangladesh.

Volunteer Adventure
Tuki Global Education and Research Consortium, in association with Tukiholidays.com, provide a two-week volunteer adventure; you’ll spend five days volunteering and six days traveling in the most ethnic and culturally diverse hilly routes in Nepal where you will dive deep into the local culture, ethnic food, and stunning sceneries. A few volunteer work projects you can take on include working with kids, teaching English, construction, conservation, animal care, or medical / healthcare.
For the tour portion of your trip, you’ll go zip lining, touring on a catamaran, hiking through a national park, visiting waterfalls and volcanoes, and much more, depending on which country you decide to visit. Education Volunteer
You’re invited to stay for at least four weeks and can expect to work four to six hours daily, Monday through Friday each week. As a volunteer, you can observe classroom instruction and management, help plan and conduct lessons, learn about Nepali culture, and develop your international exposure. Education System in Nepal
The education imparted after +2 or secondary level is considered higher education in Nepal. There are 11 universities and six autonomous medical academies that offer higher education in Nepal (UGC, 2020). Higher education is offered at the universities, of which the Tribhuvan University (TU) is the oldest and largest one. The universities in Nepal currently provide courses on sciences and technology; education; management; social sciences and humanities; law; engineering; forestry; medicine; agriculture and animal sciences; Ayurved; Sanskrit, etc. These academic programs run based on annual and semester systems at bachelor, master, MPhil, and PhD levels. Depending upon the nature of the courses, the time duration allocated to accomplish the programs varies with universities. For example, the bachelors, masters, MPhil, and PhD courses require 3–4, 2, 1.5, and 3 years, respectively, in most of the academic institutions in Nepal. The academic, research, and administrative activities are governed by the rules and regulations of the concerned institutions.
Study Visa
Study visa is issued to foreign students pursuing academic /non-academic degree and research in Nepal. It is issued by the Department of Immigration upon the recommendation of line agency (Ministry of Education). It is also issued to teachers/professors involved in academic work (teaching) in Nepal upon recommendations from the concerned agencies of Nepal Government. It is issued for maximum of one year as per the recommendation or length of study.
